Walking on a No Neutral Ground

Well hello there! It has been months since my last post, which was my introductory SevenFourteenChic post, but now I am back and ready to chat! I have been stuck for months trying to figure out where to begin. With so many products out there, it can be slightly overwhelming. On that note, I will start off with the No Neutral Ground eyeshadow palette by Wet n Wild.

No Neutral Ground is a part of Wet n Wild’s 2013 Color Icon Eyeshadow Medley collection and is limited edition. It contains three shimmer overcoats in the top row, three pearl powders in the middle, and two MATTE eyeshadows in the bottom row. When I say MATTE, I mean MATTE.

The shimmer overcoats are meant to be used on the browbone. The middle row is for the eyelid and the bottom row is for the eyeline. Of course you can experiment and play around, but this is what they recommend on the back of the palette. The most pigmented are the matte, followed by the pearl powders and then the shimmer overcoats. For $4.99, you can’t beat that, and if you are a fan of Wet n Wild products, then you should definitely give it a try.

Here are some swatches of the palette below. The shimmer, pearl powders and the matte.

From Left to Right: Shimmer, Pearl, Matte

These shades are pretty neutral and versatile, so you can always transition from day to night. Especially with the holidays right around the corner, it’s fun to glam up.

Here’s a soft eye look I did using the middle gold color and middle green color. Really soft and neutral. Definitely an everyday look. A shimmer coat could be added on top for a little glam.

Overall, I like this palette and I will keep experimenting with different looks. I found this palette at Christmas Tree Shops, but they also sell it at Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, etc. It was hard finding it, but I definitely had to get this little bad boy.

Have any of you gotten your hands on No Neutral Ground? If so, yay or nay?
